Runway: Best of Resort 2012 Trends

With the Croisiere 2012 season having wound down, we can now take a look back at the best of the trends.  The longest-selling of seasons designers can do, Resort offers up the best looks that you won’t be wearing this summer, but next.  While fewer designers and labels put out Resort collections (only 40 this year) as opposed to the all-important Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons, it has become a sort of right-of-passage for smaller labels and up-and-coming designers.

In the first part of the Best of the Trends, you’ll find the brightest neons, pajama-inspired attire and tribal prints for all seasons and, while you’re not required to wear all three of these trends at a time, I highly recommend it if you don’t want to attract male attention.

NEONS, so bright you’ll have to wear sunglasses, which should also be neon:

Bottega Veneta

Christopher Kane

Emilio Pucci

Diane von Furstenberg

PAJAMA-INSPIRED, to keep you sleepy during the day for longer than usual:

Calvin Klein Collection

Louis Vuitton

TRIBAL PRINTS, because anything is better than a tribal tattoo:

Giambattista Valli

Proenza Schouler
